Dark Things Exist in Forgotten Places . . .

Things we try to forget, things we dismiss and hide from, things that hunger for a chance to make us scream.

Once They Were Worshipped, Warded and Bound.

Now we pretend they don't exist, we say they are myths and nightmares. And this angers them.

Fear Exists in Us All, We Manage These Fears, But. . .

There are fears, ancient and dark, embedded so deep, below our modern minds, that we turn from their memory, until we are confronted with them...

I Write About the Forgotten, Feared Things, The Darkness and The Blood.

Some of my works warn of these fears, others embrace those lost in these fears, others call these fears forth.

I am Jeffrey Batchelder, a writer of stories about the dark. Dark places, dark people, dark things and how this dark affects us. Some of my stories are about vampires, old and hateful creatures with a desire to damage the world. Some of my stories are about people, acting lost and becoming distorted by the things the they have experienced.

Horror Movies, Horror News, and So Much More

Well, that was an impressive film. I’m not even being sarcastic, this was really a very good Korean zombie film in a genre that has been bled drier than Brangelina’s breakup news. Though it has many of the usual tropes you’ve seen many times before, it proves to be as Read More...

H.P. Lovecraft’s influence still has a strong presence in the contemporary horror genre.
